Sam Parr

Founder, Hampton Community

Sam Parr is a serial entrepreneur who has been building businesses since college, when a chain of hot dog stands and an online liquor store helped pay his way through school. He eventually dropped out, moved to San Francisco, and began teaching himself how to build internet companies.

In 2016, he founded The Hustle from his kitchen with just $12. What started as a newsletter became an eight-figure media company reaching millions of readers and helping establish newsletters as a serious media business. Four years later, Sam sold The Hustle to HubSpot in a very successful exit that gave him his financial freedom.

Most recently, motivated by the challenges that come after an exit, Sam co-founded Hampton, a highly vetted community for founders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs, the one where Anthony and Fintan met. But one of the most valuable things Sam has built since The Hustle isn’t another company. It’s an audience around his own name, one he can carry from one idea to the next and leverage across all sorts of new opportunities.
